UNITED IS THE WAY OUR COMMUNITY CAN THRIVE We make lasting change We Create Community

OUR MISSION

United Way Fox Cities improves lives by bringing diverse people together to build a stronger, more caring community for everyone.

OUR PURPOSE

For over 75 years, United Way Fox Cities has mobilized our communities to action so all can thrive. Whenever there is a need in the Fox Cities, United Way is there. We bring a comprehensive approach to every challenge, actively listening and responding to local needs. From strengthening local resilience to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, we’re working towards a future where every person in every community can reach their full potential.

GREETINGS UNITED WAY FOX CITIES FRIENDS,

As I reflect on my first year as CEO of United Way Fox Cities, my heart is full. I am deeply grateful for the tremendous support we’ve received from so many across our community. I’ve seen firsthand the strength and spirit of the Fox Cities, and I’m inspired by the dedication and kindness of those who give their time, resources, and energy to make our community a better place.

Our mission is only possible because of the collective efforts of our donors, volunteers, corporate partners, and nonprofits. Each of you plays a vital role in the work we do. Together, you are the heart of our mission, and it’s your generosity and commitment that help us build a stronger, more caring Fox Cities. Whether you’re giving your time, talents, or financial support, you are helping to create a shared vision for a better future, and for that, we are deeply thankful.

As you enjoy this year’s Gratitude Report, I hope that you take a moment to feel immensely proud of all we’ve accomplished together. Your contributions, big and small, make a real difference in the lives of many. The strength of this community is undeniable, and as we continue to work side by side, there is no limit to what we can achieve.

Thank you for being a part of the United Way family. It’s because of you and all that you do for our community that Fox Cities is the place we are proud to call home.

Onward!

LEAD UNITED

Empowering the next generation of changemakers.

2024 marked the official launch of LEAD United, an engagement group designed to empower the next generation of change-makers in the Fox Cities. Built on the foundation of our LINC and Emerging Leaders programs, LEAD United honors their legacy while stepping into four specific pillars of action: advocacy, fundraising, investing, and volunteering. Through these hands-on efforts, young professionals are able to channel their energy, talent, and values into meaningful community impact.

The group is currently focusing on mental well-being, one of our region’s most pressing challenges. This intentional priority ensures that LEAD United’s efforts are responsive to what our community needs. Members are invited to be part of community solutions all year round.

JUST GETTING STARTED

In its inaugural year, LEAD United rolled up its sleeves and got to work. Highlights from 2024 include:

• Spring into Summer

• Diaper Repacks

• Kit Repacks

In 2025, LEAD United will continue to grow with a community-wide Day of Caring, a large-scale fundraising event, educational deep dives into mental well-being, and more.

“I was inspired to take on a leadership role within LEAD United because there are those in our community who need our support… and because of all the great people I get to learn from and work with. Every time we come together, I find myself learning something new or becoming inspired by something someone on the committee has done.”

Adam Hatlak, LEAD United Committee Co-Chair, VP of Marketing Analytics & Strategy at Fox Communities Credit Union
