When SNAP Benefits Feel Uncertain
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will likely be delayed as the federal government shutdown continues. In Wisconsin, SNAP is known as FoodShare.
Because FoodShare is 100% federally funded, these benefits are only guaranteed through October. If the shutdown extends into November, families and individuals could be without critical food assistance. —or even be unable to access remaining funds on their QUEST cards.
If you or someone you know is affected, you are not alone. Help is available in the Fox Cities.
