Kimberly-Clark Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank

Last year, the Diaper Bank distributed a total of 926,278 diapers to local families. We're on track to increase this number next year with our new partnership!

The Kimberly-Clark Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank works to increase access to diapers, period products, and adult incontinence products so all can thrive.

1 in 2 American families struggle with diaper need (not having enough diapers for their baby). The groundbreaking Every Little Bottom Study commissioned by Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies® brand revealed this critical need, showing that many families struggle to afford diapers.

In the Fox Cities, this concern was researched and echoed by United Way’s Financial Stability Impact Committee — and the Fox Cities Diaper Bank was established in 2011.

In 2024, we launched a new partnership with Jake’s Network of Hope. The unification of our diaper banks under one location allows us to better serve families across Eastern Wisconsin. The co-operated diaper bank is now known as the Kimberly-Clark Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank, located at 110 Kensington Dr. in Appleton (thanks to our partners at VPI, Inc.)

Why is this important?

In some households a baby may be in a single diaper all day, increasing the risk of health problems, from skin disease to hepatitis. Access to a sufficient supply of diapers is essential for the health of our Fox Cities infants, but too many people do not have the resources to adequately provide for this basic need.

Caregivers who cannot afford to provide required disposable diapers for child care, often leave the workforce until their children are out of diapers. Without enough diapers for routine changes, parents feel distressed and find the job of parenting more stressful.

How does the Kimberly-Clark Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank work?

The diaper bank collects, stores, and helps distribute diapers to families that need them. Diapers are obtained through financial donations and local community diaper drives.

Diaper donations are inventoried and stored at VPI, Inc. Once the diapers are inventoried, they are transferred to local community agencies for distribution to other nonprofit agencies or directly to families and children who qualify for services.
